ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (EMS)
A major element of the management framework, MMK’s Environmental Management System aims to reduce its environmental impact.
In place since 2004, the EMS has been certified for compliance with ISO 14001 The certificate is valid from 19 November 2019 to 18 November 2022.
Pursuant to Order No. GD01/362 dated 5 August 2020, MMK’s Environmental Management System underwent a certification audit on 14–18 September 2020 to verify its compliance with ISO 14001:2015. The audit was conducted by Germany’s TÜV NORD CERT GmbH, a major international certification body, and concluded that the EMS was operating effectively.

Electricity and heat
EMS AUDITS
The Group companies are subject to annual EMS
audits as per the control schedule. The first
consolidated report on the EMS operation is
planned for 2021, covering MMK and other Group
companies.
