MMK to Discuss 2022 Digitalisation Results, Reward Top Projects and People

The second corporate conference of PJSC Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (“MMK” or “the Company”), entitled ‘MMK on the Road to Digitalisation’, will review the Company’s digital transformation over the past year and celebrate the best implemented projects and key participants in the Company’s digitalisation strategy.

Conference will bring together MMK’s senior management, heads of its structural units, and representatives of Company subdivisions that were on the receiving end of digital developments. They will discuss project implementation and the necessary steps to achieve the new goals, as well as outline the vectors for the further development of MMK’s digitalisation.

For the first time, this year the conference will feature ‘Digital Olympus’ awards ceremony. It was designed to recognise the best IT projects and cultivate leaders in digital transformation among the Company’s employees that help achieve the objectives of MMK’s digital strategy.

The contest's objectivity is ensured by its supervisory board of experts, headed by MMK CEO Pavel Shilyaev. Winners will be selected in the following categories: Digital Idea of the Year, Digital Initiative of the Year, Digital Project of the Year, Leader of Change, Person of Steel, Most Valuable Contribution, Digital Guru, and Captain of the Digital Future.

The expert council will evaluate the ideas, initiatives and projects developed and implemented at MMK in 2022. Judgement criteria will include innovation, relevance of the problem being solved, project scope and economic impact, and customer satisfaction.

MMK employees who most actively and effectively drive digitalisation at the Company will receive personal recognition. The competition will select the best head of a structural unit and digital leader, as well as the best head of a competence centre and project manager.

The second digitalisation conference and the ‘Digital Olympus’ award ceremony will take place in December 2022.
