MMK Launches Corporate Analytics Portal

Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has launched an information system that can display more than 200 different indicators related to the Company’s operations – from raw material stocks in warehouses to social issues and environmental monitoring, as well as a separate section that contains information related to the Company’s contracts.

The corporate analytics portal is a comprehensive tool that provides information at a glance. It is intended for use by the Company’s top management, as well as analysts and specialists from various departments. Users gain access to comprehensive, reliable analytics needed for the effective management of all MMK Group business processes. The portal uses a corporate databank that combines vast amounts of information across all the Company’s information systems and is updated 24/7, including on weekends and holidays.

The portal presents both real-time daily data and monthly indicators that can be compared with previous periods, making it possible, for example, to analyse the execution of plans. The system offers convenient navigation through approximately 100 screens displaying key indicators. Every panel is interactive, enabling users to narrow down to the information they need across any given parameter.

The portal was created by business analysts from the Company’s divisions and a team of IT experts from MMK-Informservice (part of MMK Group). More than 250 people use the analytical portal daily, enjoying the possibility of both remote access and access from desktop computers.

The corporate analytical portal is a contender for the titled of “Digital Project of the Year” as part of the Company’s Digital Olympus competition, the winners of which will be announced on 27 December. The competition is designed to promote ideas and initiatives that advance MMK’s digital strategy, as well as to identify the best IT projects and to shape emerging leaders in digital transformation among the Company’s employees.
