MMK named one of Russia’s best employers in Forbes ranking

Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) took one of the leading positions in the latest ranking of the country’s best employers by Russian Forbes, receiving the status of a Gold employer.

Forbes evaluated companies according to the main elements of the ESG agenda: environment, employees and society, and corporate governance. MMK took leading positions across all parameters and was awarded the highest, Platinum rating for corporate governance.

MMK’s social investments are increasing year on year and have expanded to cover new areas. In the first half of 2023 alone, MMK Group's expenditures on social programmes and charitable purposes totalled RUB 1.48 billion. The main areas of investment include social benefits and guarantees for employees, the development of the Company's territory of operations, and the implementation of charity programmes. The consistently high level of social investments reflects MMK Group's main priority: to be a socially responsible and sustainably developing company.

The ranking of Russia's best employers has been published by Forbes since 2019. This year's list includes 125 companies, up from 118 a year earlier. Depending on the number of points scored, participants in the ranking fall into one of four groups: Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
