MMK Successfully Develops Engineering Competences
An engineering group created on the basis of MMK’s Science and Technology Centre will enable the Company to strengthen its interaction with its consumers. By working directly with them within the framework of new and existing projects, MMK will unlock new opportunities to optimise its metal production, as well as streamline the design and visualisation of new products. The Company will also develop the prototyping and creation of industrial samples, and conduct special tests in accordance with customers’ technical requirements.
In addition, MMK will actively engage research institutes, testing laboratories, designers and manufacturers of production equipment to study issues related to the processing of its rolled steel.
MMK has already implemented direct work with consumers as part of the acceptance process for rolled steel. The immersion of Company specialists in the issues related to subsequent processing of MMK's products has already brought positive results. Thanks to this cooperation, MMK in recent years has actively mastered the production of the most in-demand steel products and grades, including the new generation of advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) for the automotive industry, corrosion-resistant steels for major pipelines operating under pressure, and many others.
Knowledge exchange between the supplier and processors of metal products carries significant importance and value for both parties. It helps to reduce costs and minimise risks when mastering the production and processing of new types of rolled products.
By offering a new format for cooperation in the field of engineering, MMK is developing its customer focus in order to identify and meet customers’ needs as efficiently as possible, as well as to offer high-quality and compliant products, and to provide the necessary support in their processing. In addition, the development of technologies and competences with the participation of the engineering group will enable the Company to increase the share of high-tech, high-margin products in its offering, thereby ensuring MMK's strategic sustainability in a dynamically changing market.
