MMK Strengthens Cooperation with Partners in Southeast Asia

Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works is taking part in the Vietnam Expo 2022 international industrial exhibition, which opens Wednesday in Hanoi.

Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia and one of the key foreign markets for MMK. In 2021 MMK's shipments to Vietnam amounted to some 515,000 tonnes, second only to Turkey in terms of export sales.

MMK's stand will demonstrate the technological capabilities and product characteristics of one of Russia's largest steel companies. The main focus is on products for the construction industry: hot- and cold-rolled coils, long products, and coated steel products. MMK will also present steel products for the machine-building sector - in particular, a wide range of high-strength steels.

The 31st international multi-sectoral Vietnam Expo 2022 is being held in Hanoi on 13-16 April with official support from the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade. The expo covers a wide range of products and services in industrial machinery and electronics, food beverages and packaging, textiles and consumer goods, digital technology and e-commerce. This year, organisers expect more than 350 companies from Vietnam and several other countries, including the South Korea, Belarus, Russia, Japan, the US, Cuba, Malaysia, Nepal, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar, to participate in the event.
