MMK expands cooperation with Zagorsk Pipe Plant

In 2018, MMK supplied ZTZ with 181,500 tonnes of sheet metal from Mill 5000. Zagorsk Pipe Plant received around another 1,700 tonnes from hot rolling Mills 2000 and 2500. In the first three months of this year, almost 82,000 tonnes of products were shipped from Mill 5000 to Zagorsk Pipe Plant.

MMK’s Deputy General Director for Sales Sergey Ushakov, Head of Domestic Sales Department Alexey Kuzmin, Head of Procurement and Marketing Evgeny Sarana and Head of the Science and Technology Centre Andrey Kartunov took parting in the meeting. Zagorsk Pipe Plant was represented by President of ZTZ Galyalkhak Safin, CEO Denis Safin, Managing Director Andrey Lyaskovskiy, Director of Strategy and Development Andrey Adamchuk and Commercial Director Dmitry Simankov.

The parties discussed the introduction of new technologies at MMK's Mill 5000; the development of new types of steel grades which are corrosion resistant, alloy and earthquake resistant; the expansion of the range of sheet metal products from Mill 2500; and the optimisation of electronic document flow. They also discussed issues of quality in steel products and measures to improve quality.
