MMK presents its mobile applications at Open Innovations forum

Nine MMK representatives attended the conference, including four production managers, who are training under MMK CEO’s programme focused on Industry 4.0.

Director of MMK-InformService Vadim Feoktistov gave a presentation during the panel session ‘Metallurgical Updates: Digital upgrades from the quarry to finished product’. He told the forum’s participants about the successful implementation of My MMK mobile app for smartphones which provides employees with access to vital information. He also spoke about the Evolution app which allows users to submit an innovative proposal as quickly as possible without needing to use a desktop computer. Evolution significantly facilitates collaborative work between all specialists involved in innovative activities at MMK.

The MMK Suppliers and MMK Clients apps allow the Company to communicate efficiently with its suppliers and clients. While the Mobile Maintenance app is used to organize departmental activities at an even higher-professional level in terms of transparency and efficiency.

“In particular whilst being at the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology, my colleagues from MMK were very interested in interacting with start-up companies, getting to understand the processes of starting up and supporting innovative companies, using the Skolkovo Innovation Centre facilities and discussing the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence.” Georgy Larin, Head of MMK’s Functional Centre at Skolkovo, said.

During the forum, held from 15-17 October, a competition for start-ups called East Bound took place. In addition, there was an exhibition of start-ups in which more than 220 start-ups took part. 650 speakers attended the forum and more than 30 agreements were signed. In just three days, over 20,000 people from more than 90 countries visited Skolkovo. As in previous years, the forum served as a platform for conversation between developers, investors and consumers. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev attended the plenary session ‘Smart Country: A National Strategy’.
