MMK awarded prize at Best Procurement Practices 2018

The competition was held within the framework of the VII Congress of the League of Professional Buyers, held in Armenia. Representatives of twenty of the largest Russian customer companies, including MMK, Rosnano, Rostelecom and NPO Energomash, gathered in Yerevan.

This was the first time such a competition among procurement professions was organised by the League. The jury evaluated case presentations of procurement projects and how they were implemented, which not only have a positive effect on buying budgets, but also a positive influence on the market as a whole: increasing competition and transparency in purchases.

The programme of events consisted of training to build procurement personal brands and an effective procurement team. 11 companies were shortlisted from a range of applicants. At the competition, MMK was represented by Dmitriy Kamnev, senior manager of analytics and support of category procurement management processes. MMK was recognised as the winner in the nomination Optimisation of category purchases using online stores.

MMK is actively developing lines for corporate purchases through online stores, which significantly reduces transaction load, significantly speeds up and simplifies the procurement process and saves financial resources. Through the online stores of integrated suppliers contracts are concluded in advance for which corporate discounts can be provided. Hardware, electrical equipment, stationery, household goods, household appliances are all available via online stores.
