MMK’s Chairman of the Board of Directors meets with big business and government representatives at SPIEF 2021

At the meeting with representatives of Sberbank, the parties discussed current cooperation on digital projects and shared their experience in digitalisation of technological and production processes. Representatives of both companies separately discussed topics related to current trends in ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance), in particular, the specifics of integrating ESG parameters into the daily activities of business structures. At the end of the meeting the parties agreed to develop cooperation in a number of areas of mutual interest.

At a meeting with representatives of Danieli, a major international company supplying modern high-tech equipment to steel mills, Victor Rashnikov and MMK CEO Pavel Shilyaev discussed current trends in steelmaking with their international peers, as well as ways to reduce the carbon footprint of industrial enterprises. The meeting participants highlighted MMK's achievements in this area. In addition, representatives of both companies agreed to hold a joint strategic session for an in-depth study of innovative technologies in steelmaking.

At a meeting between a government delegation fr om the Perm Region and MMK's management, Governor Dmitry Makhonin thanked MMK for its significant contribution to the development of Lysva Metallurgical Plant (part of MMK Group since 2017) and the town of Lysva, for which LMZ is the main employer. Victor Rashnikov and Dmitry Makhonin discussed in detail the plans for further development of MMK-LMZ, as well as the Company’s capacity for new orders from industrialists in the Perm Region. In addition, Dmitry Makhonin talked about plans for regional infrastructure projects and opportunities for deeper cooperation between MMK and the regional government.

In addition to these meetings, Victor Rashnikov and Pavel Shilyaev took part in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum’s plenary session, wh ere Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke.
