MMK’s online sales reach record high in 2023

In 2023, MMK Group’s corporate marketplace sold 80,000 tonnes of metal products worth RUB 6 billion (including VAT), an increase of 170% year-on-year and up from 30 thousand tonnes in 2022.

Some 112 thousand tonnes of metal products have been sold on the electronic trading platform since it came online in April 2021.

An important stage in the development of the marketplace was the launch last year of the MMK-MARKET mobile app, the first app on the Russian market for purchasing metal products. Now, buyers can make purchases directly through their smartphones: the app enables them to find and order the metal products they need and complete their purchase via a convenient payment method. The product range and prices in the catalogue are updated regularly.

An auctions module will be added to MMK’s marketplace in the near future. The Company additionally plans to continue developing the platform by creating accounts for cooperative members, enabling the use of financial instruments and providing the necessary support, introducing new payment methods, automating the calculation of delivery costs and putting a claims service in place.
