MMK to present its products at exhibition in Kazakhstan
Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) is taking part in the Innoprom Kazakhstan international industrial exhibition, which got under way in Astana on 25 September.
This major event, which is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, features national and regional exhibits as well as stands operated by some of the largest companies from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The exhibition space covers an area of more than 12 thousand square metres and features thematic sections on aviation, transport and power engineering, machine tool engineering, the chemical industry and metallurgy.
Visitors to MMK’s stand will learn about the technological capabilities of one of Russia’s largest steelmakers, while also getting an introduction to some of its products. These include, in particular, products for the construction industry, such as hot-rolled and cold-rolled coils, long products and coated metal products. MMK’s stand will also feature steel products for the mechanical engineering sector, including a wide range of high-strength steels. A delegation of specialists and managers from MMK, MMK-METIZ and MMK Trading House, which has a network of branch offices in Kazakhstan, will also be available at the stand. Kazakhstan’s fast-growing market is an important focus for the Company, which shipped more than 273 thousand tonnes of rolled steel to the country in 2022 – the second-highest figure among all countries in the CIS and beyond.
The Innoprom Kazakhstan exhibition is taking place in Astana from 25 to 27 September, with some 10 thousand people from 20 countries taking part. The exhibition’s main session will bring together on one stage the heads of government of Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and other countries in the region as well as the heads of business associations and manufacturing companies, who will share their views on the development of international cooperation and discuss promising new collaborative projects.
